Payment & Refund Policy

How payments work on Bynli

Overview

This Payment & Refund Policy explains how payments work on the Bynli platform — both for Bynli itself and for transactions that take place within groups (such as dues, merchandise, or event fees).

Bynli Platform Fees

Bynli is currently free to use during the Beta period. No payment information is required to create an account or use the platform at this time. We will notify you before any paid plans are introduced.

Group Payments

Groups on Bynli can collect payments from their members for things like:

  • Membership dues or subscriptions
  • Event fees or ticket sales
  • Merchandise through the group shop
  • Charitable donations

These transactions are between the group admin and their members. Bynli facilitates the payment process but is not a party to these transactions.

Payment Processing

All payments on Bynli are processed by a third-party payment provider. When you enter your payment information, it is transmitted securely and handled in accordance with PCI DSS standards. Bynli does not store your full card number.

Accepted payment methods include major debit and credit cards. Additional methods may be available depending on your location.

Refunds

Refund policies for group payments are set by each group admin. Before making a payment to a group, we encourage you to check their refund policy. Bynli is not responsible for refund decisions made by group admins.

If you believe a payment was taken incorrectly or without your authorisation, contact us at hello@bynli.com and we will investigate.

Payment Disputes

If you have a dispute about a payment:

  • First — contact your group admin directly. Most issues can be resolved quickly this way.
  • If unresolved — contact us at hello@bynli.com with details of the transaction and we will help mediate.
  • As a last resort — you may raise a dispute with your bank or card issuer.

We ask that you contact us before initiating a chargeback, as chargebacks can be disruptive and we are almost always able to resolve issues directly.

Failed Payments

If a payment fails, you will receive a notification. Common reasons for failure include insufficient funds, incorrect card details, or a card that has expired. Please check your details and try again, or contact your bank if the problem persists.

Currency

Payments on Bynli are processed in the currency configured by your group admin. Currency conversion fees, if any, are applied by your bank or card issuer — Bynli does not charge currency conversion fees.
